Welcome to QASI LI
QASI, the international program for Quality Assessment and Standardization of Indicators relevant to HIV/AIDs has offered a proficiency testing program for CD4 enumeration, QASI-LI (Leucocyte Immunophenotyping), since 1997. This program is open to participants all over the globe with particular emphasis on those located in resource-limited locations. QASI-LI focuses on improving the quality of laboratory practices of immunophenotyping by point-of-care testing (POCT) technologies as well as by conventional flow cytometry methods. QASI-LI provides external quality assessment (EQA) through the bi-annual administration of proficiency testing schemes and comprehensive remedial action to participating sites requiring assistance in maintaining quality testing standards. QASI-LI is managed and operated by the National HIV and Retrovirology Laboratories (NHRL) of the Public Health Agency of Canada and is located at the JC Wilt Infectious Diseases Research Centre in Winnipeg, Canada. Please contact the QASI-LI Administrator for more information.
